My year on Tarquilla

This year has made me feel happy because all the wonderful places we have been. I have also done loads of work this term and I am very proud of myself.

The favourite place I have been to is the railway museum, in Gijon, because of the wonderful steam engines it’s the biggest train museum I’ve ever seen and it has real trains in it and you get to hop into some and there is a mirror carriage which makes you think that the track is going on for ever.

The best thing was seeing the starfish at Camaret and here in marina Yates there are sea anemones on the pontoon, we’ve seen goose barnacles and we’ve also seen flocks of robins like a coat patchworked with beautiful red and soft brown. We’ve also seen beautiful dolphins, they were very intelligent and they managed to swim under Tarquilla’s propellers they also like to leap out. There were loads of shrimps [Gijon], we used a lot as live bait, well loads, but we didn’t catch anything and then we went fishing off the end of the wave break using normal tackle.

I love to sit on the front of the boat with my legs dangling when we are moving whilst the water is rushing past.
